No. Nigeria does not have a licence exchange agreement with Ontario, so a direct swap is not possible. You apply through graduated licensing, with credit for up to 12 months of your Nigerian driving experience.

Rules changed on July 1, 2026. Drivers from non-exchange countries now get a maximum of 12 months of verified foreign driving experience credit, and must pass the vision test, the knowledge test and the G2 road test, wait at least 12 months, then pass the G road test.
