Secondary sources

Review rule

If a help page and a statute conflict, we use the narrower primary authority and note the practical guidance.
Freshness matters
Sources that are broken, archived, or older than the freshness window block the publish gate.
Unclear routes stay in review
When official pages are ambiguous, we hold the guide instead of turning a guess into a public answer.
What we do not use as proof
Search snippets, AI Overviews, Reddit comments, forum posts, blog summaries, and rental-company support replies can point us toward a question, but they do not verify a Driving Atlas answer.
